LOST: WM sleeping Bag

Post by Kiefer »

I know this is going to be a long shot, but at some point as I was coming back down Ute Creek Trail #819 in the Weminuche yesterday, my sleeping bag decided it wanted to stay. I "think" it dislodged off my pack as I fell crossing over several downed trees crossing the trail half-way between the TH and Black Lake.
If anyone ventures up that way and finds it, there'll be a decent reward for it. :(

When I saw the title I initially thought it was a Walmart sleeping bag, and it warmed my heart.

I very well might take you up on that. :) I'm building a patio. So, I don't need the expense of a new bag right now.
Sending you a PM.

You may consider utilizing the ancient technique that the survivalist Tom Brown used many times: burrowing in to a large pile of leaves to sleep overnight.

This brings to mind the philosophical question of whether doing this will provide a hard-to-explain feeling of connection with our Mother Earth?

Have you contacted Outfitters in Creede?

Some go out and clear those down trees that messed with you.

Good luck.

You probably don't have an account for his website, but looks like Gary Neben walked by it on June 17th

Thanks Mike!!! I have to admit though. Why leave it? Unless he thought the "person" would walk back for it.
If we ever run into each other on the Frange, your drinks are on me.
Think I might be talking another trip back up there tomorrow. Ugh....
