I've got a 24-hour parking permit for Maroon Lake area for 8/4, and a campsite at Capitol Lake the night of 8/7. Weather permitting, I'll try climbing Pyramid in the 4th and Capitol on the 8th. I'll also be trying various other 14er climbs mostly near Leadville between 7/30 and 8/8. (choosing from Torreys/Grays, Holy Cross, Antero, Belford/Oxford, Tabeguache/Shavano, and other Sawatch.) I'd welcome a partner, especially on the scarier ones! Let me know.
While I've climbed a bunch of 14ers, including some harder ones (Little Bear, Snowmass up the west face, Lindsey up the ridge, Longs), I'm a slow uphill hiker/climber. I'm 44 and live at 250 feet above sea level. If you're young and experienced and used to high elevation, you'll go twice as fast as me. But if you don't mind a leisurely pace, I'm happy to team up.
