Re: Mount Lindsey camping
Pretty obvious when someone crosses from forest service into private land. There's a giant metal sign that even has a QR code so someone could fill out a waiver in 5 minutes while standing there before they continue on their hike. Everything mentioned in here as a spot to backpack has been on public land.

Re: Mount Lindsey camping
I’m going to summit Lindsey in a few weeks, plan to camp in upper basin, do you know if good camp spots are nearest the trailhead as you make pitch towards the saddle, or as you enter the upper basin? Good intel on last water at 11.5K. ThanksPtglhs wrote: ↑Tue Jun 17, 2025 9:38 am And if you wamt to backpack there are plenty of places along the trail before the lily lake split. There's a few spots you could camp in the upper basin around 12k. Water is currently flowing but that will stopnas the snow up there melts. The last reliable water is the stream emergin from the base if the rock glacier, 11.5k iirc.

Tried to mark with a red X. It's on the eastern side of the basin about 12k.
