Shav/Tab or Humboldt Peak this weekend?

Post by jackson_22 »

Hey all!

Thinking about making the drive down from western South Dakota this weekend. Have narrowed my choices down to Shav/Tab or Humboldt. Would be looking to do the standard route for both hikes. I’m expecting a good amount of snow on both, just looking for suggestions on what would be a better bet for this time of year. Recent conditions updates for Humboldt look promising, (thank you to all who post!) but not much has been posted recently for Shav/Tab standard. Any thoughts? Would there be a better area to try and focus on? Totally up for a suck fest, just want to make sure I’m being safe.

Thanks in advance!

I’m also interested in this! From the looks of it and recent FB reports, it looks like Humboldt is the best bet.
