El Chalten Region
Ill be biking across the Andes next February and planning to spend 5-6 days in El Chalten for some hiking/mountaineering. Information is limited for the area (expect for the big peaks) but wondering if anyone has beta (specifically looking for GPX data or photos from last season) for any of the following peaks: Mojon Rojo, Cerro Solo or Cerro Electrico. Ill be solo on the trip, but possibly thinking of hiring a guide if the objective is right. Ive been mainly looking at PATAclimb.com, but would love the purchase the guidebook 'Patagonia Vertical - Chalten Massif' if anyone is willing to sell. Ive tried to purchase it from a few online sites but had my orders cancelled.

Re: El Chalten Region
Hey there! I biked through Patagonia a couple years ago and spent a fair bit of time in El Chaltén. I climbed both Mojon Rojo and Cerro Solo. The solo glacier travel on the latter is a bit spicy, and there's some exposed scrambling near the summits of both. Also take a look at Cerro Huemul, which I tried but failed to climb due to bad weather, and is of similar difficulty. Anyways, enjoy the trip! It should be as rewarding as it is brutal.

I'll be there for a week next month and plan to get out for some peaks/long trail runs. I'll circle back with some beta
