May 30, 2020 Mount Sherman accident - let's talk

Post by BeckyYoung89 »

Hello,

I know this is a tremendously long shot, since this accident is nearly 5 years old, now, but I am hoping to talk with the subject of an accident that happened on May 30th, 2020, on Mount Sherman. I was a 1st responder to this accident, and it's really haunted me for a number of reasons. I'm also a writer, and I've been considering taking the various notes and journal entries generated from this day and forming them into a cohesive, publishable, essay. As such, I'm hoping to find the person who was injured in this accident to talk to them about this day. My SAR team does not collect or maintain subjects' personal information, so I have no way of finding this person. The easiest way to contact me is via email - everbold89@gmail.com

Thanks,
Becky Young

Hope that you are able to find the person and get information. Always good to hear what went wrong, in order to do our best to avoid repeats of bad situations in the mountains.

I can't find anything concerning an accident on Sherman on that date.

The closest I can find is this accident on Horseshoe, which is a mountain very close to Sherman. It's the same month, but two weeks earlier. Is it possible that this is the incident you are referring to? If so, the name is here.
