Back Country Skiing

Post by Monte Meals »

Good News - Bad News

Bad News First - I'm turning 77 next week so
no more (well may be a few more) AT 14er ski adventures
(wife unit says that she will dis-own me if I keep ABUSING myself)

Good news - I STILL LOVE back country cross country skiing - so two questions:

1) Bill, how about a forum for avalanche safe back country skiing

2) If not 14ers.com - which URL's are a good (aka as good as Bills's) resource for back country skiing
in Colorado.

This site is decent. It has avalanche reports on particular lines posted with each.

Not a free resource, but depending on where you live this little guidebook may be useful: https://beaconguidebooks.com/product/li ... ado-atlas/

The Colorado backcountry ski and snowboard group on FB had 19k members and is very active and annoying.
