You can also send them the link to RMNP’s webcams, which is in the second post to this thread by daway8. Still-visible dustings of white, especially on north-ish-facing and shady surfaces…kinda like what they’d be dealing with on the Ledges and in the Trough.

Thanks, guys. It took a little doing, but I’ve convinced them that we should go for Blue Sky from Echo Lake instead. A similarly epic route in terms of distance and gain. Without the spiciness of potentially killer dropoffs when ice is added to the recipe.
