RIP Lou Whittaker

Post by RhodoRose »

Reporting with sadness the passing of Lou Whittaker, legendary mountaineer, founder of RMI and twin brother of Jim Whittaker, the first American to summit Everest. He will be greatly missed. RIP, Lou. Enjoy the view from your new summit.

But one thing I do: Forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead, I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus.

Sad to hear. Happened to spend the night at The Bunkhouse when he was first opening it. Sat and listened to a lot of great stories . RIP

I hope that Alan Trammell is still doing well, at least.
