Saw a bunch of posts looking for her and doggo yesterday on FB and elsewhere. Glad they were found! Thanks for posting the update.

I'd be curious where she was eventually found...

Based on the statement that she told her mother she was taking it easy way down I'd infer that she went off route and wound up in a wrong drainage, possibly north of the east or west routes. It'd be interesting to see the write up. Of all the mountains one could get lost on I wouldn't think this would be one of them, given the road that leads up to the summit ridge. I guess it's a good reminder that accidents and mistakes can happen even on what are thought of as easier mountains. Glad she and the dog are okay.

I saw in one post made by (apparently?) her boyfriend, that her last GPS Ping was in Browns Creek basin. So it looks like she went too far South. But I still want to see the official press release on what happened.
If true, it could be she thought she was avoiding some switchbacks on the road heading west when she was actually facing south... ending up in the wrong basin.

That was roughly my guess when I saw that GPS ping (if an accurate ping).KentonB wrote: ↑Thu Jul 27, 2023 11:58 am I saw in one post made by (apparently?) her boyfriend, that her last GPS Ping was in Browns Creek basin.
