Wildflowers 2020

Post by Eli Watson »

I've really started to appreciate flowers more as an adult, and this is the first year I have time to seek out wildflowers in our state.

Fall colors are easy, but is the usual late June looking like the start time for alpine wildflowers this year? Last year was late for obvious reasons.

I tried to sound smart and look up what these are but I have no idea. They're blue and they were near Fort Collins:

Thought it was about time for this thread to pop up. Here is one from somewhere on the Guanella Pass Road a few days ago.

Wildflowers in the San Juans are near peak right now. Here are some Alpine Sunflowers (Old-man-of-the-mountain) from last weekend.

Did a hike today called Halsey Pass Loop starting from Schofield Park, near Crested Butte. Still amazing up there!
