That language is very common, standard boilerplate in most corporate-level communications, certainly when issued by lawyers, It's the footer on just about every email I see at work, nothing unique. Once you voluntarily issue a communication into the public realm, you've waived any claim of confidentiality or privilege. Just sayin'....Carry on.

Re: Arc'teryx sale, is this legit?
To bring this back to topic:
I had sent the link to some others, and I guess now I have a Rush jacket coming to me for Christmas. I'm not going to tell the purchaser the concerns (moral, ethical, legal, environmental, or otherwise). I'm just going to accept the gift in the spirit in which it was given.
That said, What will actually arrive? I don't know! A counterfeit? Probably. A different item altogether? Possibly!
I'll post once it does (if anything actually arrives).
Genuinely* curious.
*See what I did there?

- I didn't say it was your fault. I said I was blaming you.

Can confirm items are counterfeit, as expected.

that e-mail tagline (all the rage) is utterly worthless from a legal point of view. should you post someone's personally identifiable information? from a moral perspective? that's a different question. but it is 100% legal to do so. there is very narrow exclusion for truly privileged communication from a legal standpoint, and this e-mail is light years away from it.SchralpTheGnar wrote: ↑Sat Nov 23, 2019 8:27 pm Actually unless the sender explicitly granted you rights to repost an email containing his personally identifiable information you are indeed in violation of that clause and should remove immediately, in addition to notifying the sender of exposure of his information on the public web

Re: Arc'teryx sale, is this legit?
I poked around for a bit on their website, and ordered one through PayPal. I wasn't worried about losing money -I just filed a claim with PayPal and shouldn't be liable for anything. This was before the previous posters uploaded the correspondence about it being a known counterfeit site. I was pretty sure something was off, being too good to be true and all that, but I was willing to deal with the hassle of filing a claim in exchange for the 1% chance it was a real arc'teryx shell jacket.
The stiching is off: a couple of seams are visible and slightly irregular. The arc'teryx logo is fucked up on the breast. The grommets aren't watertight and the plastic clips used to draw in the hood/sleeves are different than on the SV Beta which was in REI. Also, jacket has kind of a funky plastic smell to it.

Suck. I was hoping it'd be a high quality fake. Are you sending it back somehow?
Mine hasn't arrived yet. I'll likely be doing the same return/refund/complaint or whatever. Ugh.

Re: Arc'teryx sale, is this legit?
Emailed the seller, offering to return it for a refund because it's, you know, counterfeit. They sent a response in broken English offering a 30% refund (which is further indication of just how crappy this item is). I already opened a claim with PayPal. It will take some time but I'll get my money back from PayPal.

so you knowingly buy a fake product and then ask for a refund. this is why we can't have nice things.
Re: Arc'teryx sale, is this legit?
Punisher didn't buy his, someone bought it for him as a gift. I bought mine before the correspondence between a member here and an arc'teryx representative had been posted. But don't let facts get in the way of feeling self righteous.brichardsson wrote: ↑Fri Dec 06, 2019 8:56 amso you knowingly buy a fake product and then ask for a refund. this is why we can't have nice things.
