I summited from the west ridge today. The summit is very snow covered but it was largely packed. I would expect that you would experience some epic postholing below treeline, so snowshoes would be advisable unless you plan to be down real early.
- A mountain is not a checkbox to be ticked
- Alpinism and mountaineering are not restricted to 14,000 foot mountains
- Judgment and experience are the two most important pieces of gear you own
- Being honest to yourself and others about your abilities is a characteristic of experienced climbers
- Courage cannot be bought at REI or carried with you in your rucksack

I climbed the East Ridge last Sunday, and skied the Cristo Couloir. It was in great shape. Best to be early as it was softening up quite quickly.

Folks I saw used.

Snow shoes
Skinned up on tel/AT skis
Yac-trax
Boot pack all the way.

The snow was very well packed from the treeline with very little snow below treeline.
