6/29/2008 Posted On: 6/29/2008 By: Grover Info: 6/28/08- The road is rough after the res., and I would recommend you have a proper vehicle to go up into the basin. There is a large snowfield blocking passage at 11,500‘, which is just shy of the normal 4x4 parking area. Other snow fields abound after that, but it is (was) melting out quickly. You can either walk over or around the snow fields, but the area is just wet in general. I did the North Ridge on Democrat, and it was snow free. North Couloir still has snow it, and even had fresh ski tracks in it. | ||||
