I guess I can say something now that his names been released. I knew Shafiq, he was a nice guy who enjoyed showing others mountaineering. He died doing what he loved.

Very sad news, the news story stated they had all the correct equipment. Trotter sorry to hear you lost a friend.

My best wishes go out to the woman that watched it happen and had to be rescued from that ledge. That's a hard position for anyone to be in and I hope she'll come through ok and keep climbing.
