So, I was wanting to get back into hiking 14ers after an extended leave of absence working in Alaska (at sea level!

). I don't necessarily want to do repeats, as my time in Colorado in generally pretty limited, and I do not want to go thru avy terrain if possible, as I generally hike solo (it'll be my first 14er in 7mo, so I'll be going pretty SLOW!, expecting to camp at treeline and then keep going the next day). I haven't really done anything in the Sangres, Elks, or SJs, but those aren't really great for the winter, I don't think. Mostly I was looking at Princeton (would going over Tigger Pk eliminate avy concerns?), or Columbia, SE ridge.
Additionally, if anyone has some great snowshoe trails (also in avy safe territory, I don't trust this years snowpack at all), that would be good for training, I'd be happy for any recommendations.
