Matterhorn Creek Trailhead Access

Does anyone know how far up the Hensen Creek Road the closure is right now? I am hoping to head that direction over New Years, I know conditions could change dramatically in the two weeks between now and new years, but figured I would ask for planning.

The Henson Creek Road is gated just past the turn off for the 4x4 Nellie Creek Road. You could easily snowmobile or skin up to the Matterhorn Trailhead. There is not a great amount of snow around here right now, and there is a relatively dangerous/rotten ground layer in the snowpack. There is supposed to be new snow the Tuesday and Wednesday before Christmas, but it shouldn't amount to much. Be safe, have fun.
The Dalai Lama when asked what surprised him most about humanity:
“Man. Because he sacrifices his health in order to make money. Then he sacrifices money to recuperate his health. And then he is so anxious about the future that he does not enjoy the present; the result being that he does not live in the present or the future; he lives as if he is never going to die, and then dies having never really lived.”
