Stettners Ledges + Kieners = Longs Peak Summit
Here is a report of an effort to duplicate the Stettner Brothers 1927 summit of Longs via the East Face during which they pioneered the "Stettner's Ledges" route.

It is an old report, but contains useful information for anyone attempting it now. You can see it by clicking on the link below:

I was into the whole Longs by different routes goal for a while too. Made it up the Keyhole, Kiener‘s, Cables in winter, Stettner‘s, Keplingers climb and ski, and Alexander‘s Chimney. Only thing left to do is something on the Diamond but my rock climbing skills are pretty weak so I‘d need someone to pull me up that. Stettner‘s is a great route, the 5.8 finish was amazing with perfect finger locks right up to the broadway ledge, I‘ll never forget that pitch or the sound of falling boulders whizzing overhead during that climb.

I really enjoy reading all your Longs Peak trip reports. I also read over your Gorrell‘s Traverse report, which sounds like an interesting route. How easy would it be to find that 4th class crack to gain SE Longs (ie. ascend the crack)?

Do you have a report on your Glacier Gorge Traverse? It‘s kinda been on my radar, so I‘d be very interested in reading that one too if you have it.
