I started walking the road from the Summit Lake Parking, and put skins on for a snowfield around the first corner.
Image

The snow was thinner at the top, but I was soon at the parking just below the top. I skinned the trail's repetitive switchbacks, and walked the ridge, peeping down the North Face.
Image

When I found the actual summit register, there was snow leading over the other side. I was joined by only two other skiers.

I rode down from the summit, making many traverses to stay away from the rocks, eventually cruising over to the nearest entrance to the North Face.
Image

The initial section in the entrance was ridable, but I still had to dismount to scurry around the corner into the couloir.

That's the Snave Ledges over there, and there was a crew working up to it later on.

Here is a view from the summit. At the lower left is the couloir, the entrance was not as bad as it looks.

This was a classic run though, and I was really glad I tried it, because sometimes a plumb line just doesn't work for complicated mountains.

Once in the bowl, I skated over a hump, and had lunch, while watching a Telemarker on his run looker's right.

I picked my way down the rock field to the creek, taking ques from a set of tracks. It was busy in the parking lot. People tailgating, and running schuttles. I was really impressed with this little playground. Lots of entry level snow climbing in the back of the basin, and I was tempted to find a line into the next basin, but needed to get lined out on Biers for the next day.
