 Humboldt Peak
Drove up South Colony Lakes Road in two Ford Escapes. Rough but not impossible (see TH status report). After setting up camp, the 7 of us headed up Humboldt around 2 p.m. (Yes, we verified the weather first). The trail was in much better shape this year, as volunteers from the Colorado Field Institute were hard at work.
We summitted around 4:20, and after sharing a bit of bubbly, headed back down and made camp by 6:00. A good first day warm-up prior to attacking the Crestones.
