from sage to summit- a climb of California's 2nd highest peak
a trip report of my climb up Mt. Williamson, California's 2nd highest peak, as well as its neighbor Mt. Tyndall, a fellow 14er. I posted this report in my blog (cuz you know, everyone has a blog now) and am feeling a little lazy to cut and paste and add the photos here. so just click the link (thanks Monster5!) for some High Sierra trip report action.

It's great to see other peaks on here and congrats. Not sure why Aug_Dog bothered posting.

Nice!

These are on the block in just a few weeks. Tried day-tripping them from the parking lot last year. That failed approximately 300' from Willy's summit. Great job. Glad to see the area, and the upper reachers, are mostly snow-free, too.

I'm feeling a bit lazy to cut and paste your url link, therefore I didn't read your blog. And since everyone's blog is just bragging, I wasn't interested anyways.

this is a shout out...

to the douches who chose to take the time out of their lives to reply to my post to tell me that they didnt read it...guess what? Who the freak cares?? rijaca and augdog, you're douches! dollars to dimes say you read the post but then you want to be all cool and decide to spend the time to tell me that you are not gonna read it. I DONT CARE! I put the post out there knowing that it will appeal to some so therefore great. if it helps provide some info on some peak that will help others gain some knowledge of them for future climbs, great. if it only provides some time-killing entertainment whilst at work, great. but to take the time out of your life to try and be hip and cool to tell me that you didn't read it, that's just idiotic. and you know it. so don't bother trying to debate this fact.
cheers!

BIG WILLY!

Just did these two over the 4th. Was going to put up a report but yours was great. Sage to summit indeed. We camped at Shep Pass for the two...nice work from Anvil/Advil camp.

Willy was a bit of a slog (favorite 14er summit so far) and that was a big drop from top of Tyndall huh? Did you make the final two moves to the top of that boulder?

Anyway, nice work, those two were fantastic/horrible! Five left for me in California as well. Good luck on the path!

Finally an excellent trip report on Williamson. I've been waiting for one very detailed writeup like yours to summit Williamson and Tyndall to about wrap up my attempt at the CA 14ers. Great job to you and your dog!

thanks Oman!
49ersRule- By to Breakers is AMAZING! one of the most fun events you can go to. definitely make it a priority to get there someday. Of course, it was better back in the old days, but it is still great now!

Elevationcelebration, if you have any peaks left in the Palisades such as North Pa, Thunderbolt or Starlight, let me know, i am looking for partners to get them. I have the gear.
I did not make the final move on Tyndall- being solo, it didnt seem very prudent.

Thanks Eric...while Williamson was not my favorite, it was a worthy adventure and glad to get it out of the way. Now go get it.

I saw your blog before you put up the specific link and I gotta say that I've gotta get out there for Bay to Breakers sometime.

Oh yeah, nice job with the Cali 14ers too! They're definitely on my list to do someday. Keep 'em on your blog, I'll be back for 'em.
