2005-09-26 If you remember what this TH looked like years ago, that being located on the inside partition of a turn on the way to Bear lake, it is RADICALLY different now. Now, it's actually alot better. The Bear Lake road has had SIGNIFICANT improvments done to it recently-many more pullouts, repaving, earthen walls etc. The TH itself is now located further down from the original, probably two turns away on the outside (left side of the road). The new TH has more additional parking spaces and a bus stop has been added, as RMNP has implemented a bus system along this very busy road. After roughly .3-.5 miles of hiking on the actual trail, it joins back to the original. The improvements are really quite nice. Cost to RMNP is $20.00 and you'll want to take the EAST entrance from Estes Park. Kiefer
