3/3/2023 Route: Northeast Ridge Posted On: 3/3/2023, By: Will_E Info: Nice day on Marble, a little windy on the way up above treeline, but pretty nice at summit. There was fresh snow on the trench up the road, but I didn't put on snowshoes until turning onto the rainbow trail, from there I was in snowshoes breaking trail until just past treeline, the snow wasn't bad, breaking trail was a little easier than average. |

2/11/2023 Route: Northeast Ridge Posted On: 2/11/2023, By: LetsGoMets Info: Nice trench from Rainbow Tr crossing to about 10,300' up the Marble trail. From there any trench that did exist had been obliterated by new snow and/or wind. Retrenched it with another's help to treeline, from there mostly wind blown to summit. Flotation was mandatory between 10,300' and 12,000'. |

2/7/2023 Route: Northeast Ridge Posted On: 2/7/2023, By: timewarp01 Info: The road is still very snowy so I'd recommend parking at the 2WD lot. There's still a great trench on the trail thanks to all the foot traffic last week. Around 10,500' there are enough snowdrifts to be a problem so thats where I put on snowshoes, and use them until around 12,000'. Perfect day for it! I'll attach some photos of Humboldt and the Crestones for anyone who's interested. |

1/28/2023 Route: Northeast Ridge Posted On: 1/28/2023, By: kyrawhitworth Info: Forever grateful to the awesome group of ladies ahead of us who put in the trench! Tons of snow from Rainbow trail to well past treeline. We tried the road in an FJ but alas the 2WD TH it was (not sure most vehicles could make it far enough to park as it was pretty snow covered and inconsistent). No views today but no wind so we'll take it. Hard work! |

1/28/2023 Route: Northeast Ridge Posted On: 1/28/2023, By: Wildernessjane Info: Trench is in! Go get it! We used flotation from the turnoff for Rainbow Trail to approximately 12,300. |

12/18/2022 Route: Northeast Ridge Posted On: 12/18/2022, By: Anima Info: My partner and I were the poor souls mentioned in Sarah's condition report... I'll echo what she said, bring snowshoes. It didn't look like there was gonna be too much snow until we found ourselves fighting upwards in hip-deep powder. The last 500 feet to treeline were the worst. Helluva trench thanks to all four people on the mountain. Windblown above treeline. |

12/18/2022 Route: Northeast Ridge Posted On: 12/18/2022, By: sarahmariekirk Info: Snowshoed from 4WD Rainbow Trail to about 11,700. Deep snow below treeline and snowshoes will make your day much easier — met two guys on the trail who decided to forgo snowshoes and I'm sure they regretted it. Made a good trench today! Get it while it's good. Beautiful day with epic views of the Crestones. |

6/20/2022 Route: Northeast Ridge Posted On: 6/20/2022, By: Laxer04 Info: Countless downed trees on the faint trail past Rainbow. According to a local in town, this is the case for many of the trails in the area after a rough winter. Route is completely snow free to the summit. We had a ton of wind and clouds today, but had the mountain to ourselves. |

2/5/2022 Route: Northeast Ridge Posted On: 2/6/2022, By: Dobsons Info: Lots of snow in the Sangres after the last East slope storm. Got our money's worth on the trench as had to put it in from the winter closer. Northeast Ridge was very windswept once finally out of the trees but the snow beneath treeline was deep |

1/23/2022 Route: Northeast Ridge Posted On: 1/24/2022, By: gluckhikes Info: Flotation is required for nearly the whole route until the last 500 feet or so. Deep snow even above treeline, but no signs of warming or avy risk. The three of us followed a good trench up to the Rainbow Trail junction and made a new one from there to the top. If you've been wanting this Peak, go get it and enjoy our trench! |

1/8/2022 Route: Northeast Ridge Posted On: 1/8/2022, By: daway8 Info: Refreshed Colin's trench which was faded in spots. This is overall a very straightforward hike - follow the road up from the 2WD lot (you won't be able to drive to the 4WD lots now - see TH status update) then turn at the large obvious sign for Rainbow Trail with the tall glowing reflectors marking the start of the trail. That takes you up onto the ridge, then it's one long, semi-straight slug up a ridgeline. This is a pretty safe route for an iffy day like today with crazy strong winds in the morning and snow in the afternoon - there's really no exposure to speak of and route finding doesn't get much easier than this (even better when someone else already put a trench in!). I easily booted up to Rainbow then put on snowshoes but at the moment there's a pretty solid trail in place - might possibly almost get by without them if you don't step off the trail, but probably better to have them. Lots of bare ground a little above treeline - could have stashed the snowshoes but left them on for traction/laziness. |

1/3/2022 Route: Northeast Ridge Posted On: 1/3/2022, By: colin j Info: Booted from 2WD trailhead to Rainbow trail where a strong trench continued to Humboldt. No such luck for Marble; I put in a trench to treeline. The winds really picked up beyond 12000 and occasionally visibility was very limited. Turned around a half mile from summit. May go back if weather holds out to take advantage of the trench; if I don't hopefully someone else uses it. |

12/4/2021 Route: Northeast Ridge Posted On: 12/5/2021, By: cassmaster Info: The road up South Colony subaru-able - areas of snow were only 3-4" deep at most. We parked right below the Rainbow Trail intersection and began hiking up the road. There was minimal partial coverage on the Rainbow Trail and Marble Mountain Trail until treeline, some parts were completely dry. The descent from the 10,700' point to the base of Marble, described in the route, is very minimal which we appreciated on the way out. The route above treeline was mostly dry and snow patches were easily avoidable. Humboldt was looking bone dry across the way. Beautiful day with sun and low wind - but snow is coming! |

6/12/2021 Route: South Ridge from Music Pass Posted On: 6/13/2021, By: Stratosfearsome Info: Marble Mountain is almost free of snow. Trail to Music Pass from the east is effectively clear of snow. Did not use spikes or axe all day. |

6/9/2021 Route: Northeast Ridge Posted On: 6/9/2021, By: smrcka Info: Large snow drifts beginning at 10,800. Snow ends near tree line around 11,600. Snow was compact and supportive, even at 11am on descent. Lots of downed trees on trail below 10,750 but always a decent workaround. |
