Made it to the base of the technical pitch before turning back due to schizophrenic high winds and cold temperatures. The North Face was fairly dry despite the recent snow storms. The snow below the first pitch was hard-packed, so crampons were needed there. We couldn't see much ice from where we were, but there may be some in the cracks. The standard trail was packed all the way to tree-line so no need for snowshoes. The short-cut at the last bridge hasn't been put in yet, or else the tracks were all covered up.
