Climbed the ridge and came down the gully. The north and east facing aspects had a lot of pockets of hail and some ice patches on shaded rocks. Most ice had melted by mid morning but hail was still in in most nooks and crannies through early pm. Lower portion (below saddle) is in good shape.

Ridge or gully?

Do you prefer the ridge, or the gully? When I went, we took the ridge up and down, and thoroughly enjoyed it. I've heard the gully can be loose, so I'm not sure which is better for the average hiker.

Ridge or Gully

The ridge was a blast except for the wall crux. i inadvertanly took a class 4 line that had me a bit wigged out but made it up without problem. If you stay to the right (left going down) in the gully it's class 3 in spots but you avoid the crap in the gully itself which is just nasty loose.
