Climber Memorial forum added

Postby BillMiddlebrook » Thu Jun 24, 2010 6:36 pm

I just added a "Climber Memorial" forum section and moved all of the Kevin and TalusMonkey threads to it.

Comments about the new area area welcome.

Great way to organize things for those searching....I was looking for something in this genera just this evening.

But good God, I hope and pray we don't need this category any more!
According to his great mercy, he has caused us to be born again to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, to an inheritance that is imperishable, undefiled, and unfading, kept in heaven for you.

It's unfortunate that we need a memorial site, but, due to the sheer number of people on the 14ers and other high peaks these days, there are bound to be more fatalities.

This is a good place for us to come and honor our dead, though, so thanks for setting it up, Bill.

May it also serve as a repository for "what can go wrong" so that others may learn from our mistakes, and possibly avoid repeating them. Perhaps through education we can at least keep the accidents to a minimum.

As you already know from my PM a few weeks ago, I'm glad to see that you like the idea of having this section on the site. I think we'll all appreciate having an area on the forum where we can remember those among us who've paid the ultimate price for this adventure!

Great addition, Bill.

May it be the least used forum on the site.
