From jjust's N. Marroon TR it sounds/looks like it is dry all the way to the lake.

Lodgling is correct. I spoke to one of the rangers yesterday. He said the road is dry to the TH.

edit: I suppose I should add (though I'm sure Ted knows this) that the road is still closed until next Friday May 22nd.

That's just the info I was searching for! And the picks were helpful. Looks like bike-a-ski to beat the tourists. Maybe see some of you up there.

If anyone has any additional recent information on conditions, I would appreciate it. Looks like the area is expecting some snow this week.

Road is dry to the trailhead. The trail is mostly clear of snow. You wont need skins until after crater lake, if even then.
Did I mention that "I hate postholing"
