The good, the bad, the Humboldt

Add your trip report here...

Hello and welcome to another video from the insane mind of a 14er junkie. This is footage of a day that started at midnight in Lakewood with the unreasonable expectation of climbing Crestone Peak and driving back to Lakewood all in a 24 hour period. Things went fairly well until the snow started to fly shortly after 1PM. I was making my way around to the north buttress of Crestone, most likely a suicide mission considering I had no biusness taking on a climb like that alone, tired, and with a expensive camera.
The snow gave me an out. I turned my attention toward that big humdrum mound called Humboldt. This was a tough climb considering the lack of sleep and a sun that was going down fast.
I put together a video that I guess we should call Experimental. I want to create a video that brings the viewer into the mind of a lunatic such as myself.
I shot all the footage with no help, editing this monstrosity was almost as much fun as the climb itself, and no sore knees the next day.
I hope you watch this with an open mind, and I give my apology to the great Sergio Leone. Thank you and enjoy.

I don't think there is a climber out there that cannot identify with that film. You nailed it head on. And those Marmots! They just love to egg you on. Crazy little bastards. Well done.

I love your films! I think you have done a great job of bringing us 'into the mind of lunatic'.
I enjoyed the video of your friend trying to start his car with breathalyzer thingy as well. I look forward to your next mind trip.

Very nice

Definitely a different take on climbing a 14er, but also very refreshing too in a warped way. I can appreciate the time and effort that went into the editing of that bad boy.
Good work.
