 our nemesis, beaten

This was our fourth try at Quandary. The last three times were in the late winter (twice we went up in one day), only to get turned around because of bad weather and static. Image It is quite a bit easier in the summer. Sometime, we will have to try it in the winter again as it was really pretty and the route was completely different. We started this hike at 6 in the morning. It took us awhile to get there from Copper Mtn, where we were staying. We would suggest starting even earlier to beat the crowds. Image Image We shared the summit with 10 or 15 people, but passed at least 200 coming down. It was a party, hula hoops and all on top. Image Image Image The weather was awesome. Probably was a bit hot for those that were just starting at 8 or 9. Amazing crowds of people from 5 years old to 70 at least, and dogs from toy breeds to working breeds and my favorite, puppies. This mountain needs two lanes! Guess we didn't get any pictures of that. We finished at 11. (total of 4 and half hours of climbing) Great trip.
