 Democrat N face - 1 pic TR

Lots and lots of options for ski descents, folks. We did the longer, more direct line on the climber's left of the face, rather than the N couloir described in Dave Cooper's CO Snow Climbs book (climber's far right). But nearly any of the obvious lines would have been great.

Corn conditions were prime at 10AM. And we found no significant sun cupping or runnels.

Walking back through the valley, we made the unwise choice of sticking close to the stream at the valley floor, which resulted in bushwhaccking for 20 minutes to get back to the patchy trail.

This couloir is at least 2-3 weeks behind Quandary's N couloir in terms of snow meltout. The coming weekend(s) should still be really nice conditions here.
