Wow, the snow sure is melting fast down there.

I‘d say the lounging around in the sun compensates for the thin snow! Great report.

That‘s a nice place to camp and ski. Solid effort on that Handies line too, that looks like fun.

Yeah the grill rocks, Carl said it was like $40 at Wal Mart so it‘s a good bang for the buck too...

Coleman Grill

Ok, so spending 40$ to nab those portable Coleman gas grills is very cost effective. Mine died after 4 good years of use, probably utilized over 50 times in a number of conditions. On the flip side of that coin, driving down to the San Juans to climb and ski dirt is NOT cost effective, but I admire your determination. Did you guys already forget how much fun we had on Horeshoe?

Anyways, I love the shots of grillin and chillin in such a grand setting.

I agree with Brian, those camp shots look pretty cozy compared to the camping I‘ve been doing lately. Makes you really appreciate the luxury of car camping! Way to ski off the snow ramp you made, that part had me cracking up. Bravo!

Way to squeeze out a couple more peaks before the snow disappears.

After seeing the snow conditions, I‘m feeling a tad better about turning back - pretty thin! Handies looked a little better. BUT, it was nice to see you again, and maybe we can squeeze in one more this season! Nice report Ben!

Glad that you found a better route down Handies than Redcloud and Sunshine. It was nice meeting you and getting your advice at the trailhead.

If it weren't a 14er, I'd agree with you 100% Brian. Just so happens we've got this weird obsession so oddly enough, this weekend was very fulfilling . Got any more spring plans on the radar?

Thanks Mark, we were cracking up about the ramp too. Sometimes it aint pretty!
