 CR30 Cinnamon Pass - CLOSED!!

Wanted to try an squeeze Redcloud and possibly Sunshine in on a cold but clear blue-sky day.
This is what greeted me on the CR 30 road at the split towards Cinnamon Pass.

That was the fastest trip I have ever done. Well it wasn't all bad, snowshoed up to the overlook on Monarch Pass. Great day to be in the Mountains.....

The Shelf Road is always closed in winter!

You could have hiked both peaks from the Mill Creek campground trailhead. That trailhead is always open in the winter. Sorry you didn‘t get to hike them.

I was a little bummed about that, I knew I was cutting it close on winter closure. Nice to know about Mill Creek, but I would have wanted to have some type of trail map to look at, before jumping into that route since I was solo. Thanks again for the beta....I will probably be back for summer.
