Mount Silverheels serves up a course of winter wind

A Hoosier Pass climb of Silverheels with the requisite cold start, the lure of a sunny morning and enough still air to lure us to the heights and enough wind to remind us of the nature of this splendid winter climb.

Some trail info > firm boot/ski pack from Hoosier Pass to limit of willows, 2-12" snow to Hoosier Ridge, clear sailing over wind hammered snow to base of Scott Gulch, then soft and wind hammered patches to upper 500 feet of peak, top blown clear.
