Great Report! It‘s nice to see the fall colors changing. No snow in Montana yet, really. *sigh*

This would be my within my first ten fourteeners. I will be 13 when I climb, and at age 11 and succesfully climbed pikes, and huron, along with sherman with a stomach bug. Do ya think I could do hardvard?

We met a 13 year old on Columbia who had climbed all the Sawatch this year. It‘s a LONG hike to Harvard, but not difficult. It would be good to save this mountain til later in the year, after you get some other practice hikes in. Just start early, and hike with good company.

Nice photos!

So that‘s what it would have looked like, if we had gotten there earlier... Glad someone was able to get the traverse in this day!

Nice and timely

Great beta and your photos are fantastic! I like those panoramas. I‘ve been thinking about this marathon since early summer but wasn‘t convinced I had the endurance at the time. After a great summer, I‘m ready to attempt the route this weekend with a couple friends. I printed your TR to aid us. Not sure what conditions we‘ll find but it will be a excellent adventure nonetheless. Thanks for the six-star report.

Awesome Pictures

My climbing partner and I are planning to do this next weekend, but I have to ask what type of camera and lens are you using on the panorama shots. Spectacular photos.

I used my Canon XSI DSLR, with the Canon 10-22mm wide angle for most of my pics. The large panoramas are stitched with Microsoft ICE software (free), and I used Photoshop Lightroom for dynamic balancing.

Good luck!
