 Best Layed Plans

My having to deal with total lack of conditioning ,due to a injury keeping me from training,my plans were to hike Mt. Lincoln from Quartzville and head over and tag Bross come back and descend to TH.
An early start( 5:40am) an attempt to acomplish said plan. I didn't do any pre inspection of the trail so for a couple hours I wasn't sure if I was on the correct path to my goal. My plan was to stay on the jeep road as much as possible to avoid any issues that my 330lbs might cause with mine shafts. The folks that own the property have cut many of the switchbacks with machines so sometimes I used those. The final few hundred feet were talus hopping and light trail segments.Once at the summit I rested , ate abit and looked at the trail to Bross and the building storm clouds sweeping (also I was pooped) and made the call to pass on Bross. I am feeling better about my abilty to get some peaks yet this year.A long trail down just beats me up but it is a must.

Our family spoke with you on top of Lincoln. Again, congrats on the summit! We went on to Bross and fortunately only got snow, no lightning or rain. We made it and decended down the nasty Bross decline. No injuries so all is good.
