Quandary - East Ridge Class 1

I rode my motorcycle up from Eagle and started the hike at about 0600. Pretty cold coming through Vail Pass at 0500 in the morning. I had the heated vest on high and double gloves on.

Easy trail going up very straight forward navigation. There were a quite of few people on the trail already. This was 9th Colorado 14er, and by far this was the most people I had encountered on any of them. If I do Quandary again, I will definately do the class 3 on the back side. I went by myself this time, so chose the safer class 1 route.

Lots of elevation gain in just over 3 miles. Very uneventful climb, very nice weather and met some nice people along the way. I came across 6 or so mountain sheep/goats along the trail. I took some good pics of them (I will post later). Climb took about 6 hours for me to finish. Had cell service on top and talked to some friends in Arizona while on top (115 degrees in Phx.)
