 Mt. Yale 7/15

James and I hiked Mt. Yale on 7/15. There were a LOT of people on the trail-crazy for a Wednesday! It was about the same distance as Elbert, but seemed steeper. (Maybe not as steep as some people made it sound)This pic gives you an idea of steepness, but pictures don't always show it accurately.

Cool looking tree...I think I'm going to paint this later.
Near the top, the trail ends and you have to scramble to the top. We climbed straight up the ridge instead of hanging to the right where the cairns are. This was a blast!

At the top with (Princeton?) in the background.

the trip always seems longer on the way down. It was pretty warm so James cooled his face in the river .Image

Shot of Yale afterward from Buena Vista!
