 Longs- Cable Route, North Face

Hello, we went up the Cable route on July 2nd, 2009.
Thought I would share some pics. It was a great climb overall but definitely getting to the end of the season for snow.

We hiked in at 2:30am and reached the Boulder field just at about 5am. Crossed the field and made our way up to the snow. The trail up was fine. No real snow to speak of but lots of horse or llama poo... Not cool.

The face was good. The snow turned to crap mid morning so we just barely made it in time. There was also a LOT of water running down the rocks, so the crux was ice, snow, slush, and moving water. Made it interesting and fun.

We did come back down the same way we went up, but I think I will just let the pictures talk. I will upload a few here, but you can also go to:

to see the whole story.
Great climb!

p.s. Seems like some of my photos got out of order on the upload. I am sure you can put them in order in your head...sorry about that
