 Mt. Sherman Leavick site

We left early that morning from Colorado Springs. It was around a two hour drive and most of the time we were driving in fog. We parked at the Leavick site and hiked up the mountain. Out of all the 14ers this one was definently the easiest. Some parts of the mountain were covered in fog including the top, but that was not the worst thing winds well over 50 mph made the rest of the climb misearible. On our way down we saw some people slide down the side of a glacier on the ridge. So we decided to do the same to cut thirity minuets off the climb. It was really fun, but if your going to do it just watch out for a small little rock toward the end of the slide. This mountain is awesome and is a smooth climb to the top.
