The pics are up for Unconpahgre and Lincoln.

The trailhead for Horn Fork Basin and Mt. Harvard was accessible, and the snow conditions were reported to be very good by a crew last week.

On the way in, a little old subaru rallied past in a cloud of dust and sparks. I think they must've missed the turn for the graduation bonfire back there.

Heidi and I camped at the trailhead. I left about 4:30, walking the first mile, and hung my boots in a tree. The trail was a convoluted mess of sidehill postholes, and got steeper after the creek crossing, but nice views of Mt. Yale at sunrise.

I put my time in working for the meadows. There was at least one crew camping there.

This is the hidden alley of snow off the NE side of the summit. I worked through this, and hopped up a couple feet to get over to the South side, exiting through a narrow ledge onto the face.

Really like the pics on this one, the simple style also. Really been enjoying a lot of your reports. Routing for you to get it done; must be close. This year?
I was there a few days later on Harvard and it was alright.
