Where did the snow go? Baldwin Jeep Road

I'm not much for typing out a wordy trip report, mainly because I only use two fingers to type, and I got to go to work soon . Just wanted to post pictures from my hike yesterday Monday 10/6/2008. The temp. at the top was 41 degrees with little wind, and had the summit to myself.

Driving south from Leadville Massive and Elbert had the most snow. The further south I drove the less snow on the peaks.

Mount Elbert

Taken on the jeep road right at 11,000 ft.

First view of Mt. Antero as you break away from treeline

The worst of the snow along the entire route

Shavano and Tabeguache

Mt Antero

Looking down towards the jeep road

Mt. Princeton in the foreground right of center, with Yale, Harvard and Columbia filling in the background.

A not so clear picture of the Elk Range taken from the summit of Antero. It appears they got more snow.
