 Sawtooth conditions   

FYI: This is more a review of conditions on the Sawtooth than an actual trip report.

The Sawtooth proper is still very dry and snow-free. The most demanding part of the traverse is getting there, as the north ridge of Bierstadt is snowy enough to slow things down substantially:

We hugged the ridge as much as possible. Most folks go around this thing:

Close up of the exit from the Sawtooth. This is the only other sketchy part. The ledges are icy and exposed, so care must be taken. It's not difficult, though. You can see the trail if you look closely:

Mark (I assume)- it was great meeting up and joining with you guys across the Sawtooth... I made it up and down Evans pretty slowly from the gully. Any chance I could get a copy of some of your photos from the day?
