Mt. Princeton - Mt. Princeton Rd.

4:00am - Left Denver (Highlands area)
7:00am - Started hiking from where we parked
9:30am - summit
10:00am - left summit
12:15pm - back to car

Jeep road to radio towers was much better than we expected. Not too bumpy. Smooth ride, considering. Picked three folks up along the way and saved them a mile or two of uphill

We drove past the radio tower .7 miles. Got lucky and found a pull off big enough for one car. It was empty!

Hiked the road to the "official" Princeton TH. It's easy to miss so look out for it!! It's on your right. It is not marked but has 6 or 7 stone stairs that lead into the dirt trail.

Hiked the dirt trail for about 20 minutes and then it's all rock from there. It was a cloudy, drizzly day. Nice and cool. No storm clouds, but low lying, drizzly clouds all day. Got a bit of rain that made the rocks slippery, but weather wasn't too bad.

2 1/2 hours to the summit from just above the radio towers. Chilly and windy at the top so we didn't stay long. Two more hours back down.

A little rain and a little chilly, but a great hike! Beautiful views from Princeton, even through the clouds. I bet they're spectacular on a clear day!

We probably did pass each other. There were three of you? Three guys? Any dogs? There were just two of us. The two in the pic. I was in that blue jacket when you would have seen us. How long did you stay at the top? It was cold!
