they were not the usual epic adventure/ski descent that really warranted a trip report. All fine hikes though. But on the Grizzly Tour there would be something of interest to post.

Started below the gate on the McNasser Gulch Trailhead. A fine warm and sunny day. Hiking up at the road junction at 11,880 and just below the mine

I looked off to my right about 300 + yards away and about 100 feet higher - walking parallel to me was

Quickly put the dogs on their leashes and headed up the hill to keep an eye on the guy. That was the last I did see the bear but it seemed appropriate to see a bear on Grizzly Peak. The rest of the climb included some steep parts with and without snow. Then the traverse around to Garfield, a talus slide and glissade down to the basin.
