Mt. Sherman - (Camping @ Four Mile)

Climbed Sherman on Saturday, June 21. The road is clear all the way to the gate. We stopped about a mile below the gate because we had passenger cars and we wanted to add a bit to the hike. From the gate this is a very short 14‘er and is definitely one of the easiest. i had a pretty bad cold and still didn‘t have any problems. Still a decent amount of snow. Not enough to cause a problem, just enough to have great fun sledding down. We summited in about 2 hours (includes the extra mile we added). We had 2 dogs with us and had no problems. We camped Friday and Saturday at Four Mile Campground, which is just a few miles below the Sherman trailhead. Nice campground. Very large campsites. Drinking water available as well as a dumpster for trash and outhouses. We got up there early Friday to make sure and get a spot, but the campground never filled up.
