 Antero- Standard

We left Denver at 5am and started hiking at about 8:30am. The weather was sunny but chilly. Image

The day was perfect. There was nobody else up there the whole day. Image Image

We left the jeep road and hiked up the ridge to Antero. The wind was brutal in the saddle, but let up as we climbed higher. Image

The walk over to the final pitch was fun. Image Image Image

We hit the summit in a little over 3 hours. After a brief lunch, I had a little surprise for Amy... Image

Amy and I got engaged at 14,269‘! Image

She was totally surprised, and my dream of proposing on the top of the mountain came true! Image

The hike down was incredeble as we thanked the Lord for this incredible day! Image

How was the drive to the Trail Head?

What time did you get back to Denver?

Most excellent!

When I got the email from Amy on Tuesday morning, I was so excited for you. I haven't been able to get a hold of her yet, but that is the best proposal for girls like us! Way to go, Craig! Not only was it a dream proposal, but it was on top of the mtn I keep saying I am going to do. That being said, you guys have inspired me to the San Juans this weekend. Too bad you guys work Saturdays!
(btw-to Amy I am Rachel )
