 Mt. Sherman from Fourmile Creek

Absolutely beautiful day to hike!!

The road to the gate was completely dry except for some very minor runoff water. The trail up to the peak was occasionally covered with snow, especially near the peak (where a decent amount of deep snow remains). However, most of the snow on the trail was avoidable.

I left Denver at 6:30 and arrived at the gate at 8:30. Going at a brisk pace, I was able to reach the summit by 10:00. The weather was amazingly beautiful; temps were in the upper 50‘s at the gate and near the low 50‘s at the summit (but with a steady breeze to keep things cool).
