 Partial Ski Decent on Grays

Well the title says it all. I hoped to get a full summit decent in, but that just wasnt in the works as far as the snow was concerned today. We started hiking around 8:30 from about a mile below the trailhead. I was on my skis skinning up the road while my mother was walking and the dog...hudson...was walking on all fours. The road as well as the trail were heavily boot packed and/or wind blown so if it werent for the fact that i was going to attempt to ski the peak my skis werent really necessary.
As we ascended around kelso Mountain and Grays and Torreys came into view, I became a little dissapointed as Grays was mostly devoid of any continuous snow.
Well oh well at least i was going to get a partial done. As i got to the top , it would have been possible to ski off the top, but only for a matter of 20 feet before i would have had to take my skis off, so i opted to walk down the ridge a litte ways first to where i could make a continuous line.
As seen from the saddle between grays and torreys.
After which i skied a very steep and cliff studded line down from the torreys side of the bowl.
The snow in the bowl was wind hammered and upon doing ski cuts i was unable to get the snow to move except for the top inch or so. I skied from about 14,100 to around 12,500. I had to put my skis on my pack and walk the bare trail until around 12,000 and from there i skied all the way back to my car at around 10,900.
