Quandary - East Ridge with view of Lincoln

Six of us left from the Monte Cristo trailhead at 9:00 am. There was a party of 4 ahead of us which broke trail for the first 1/2 mile. The six of us wore snowshoes and broke trail the rest of the way. Weather was moderate with 12-20 inches of new snow. The snow is now continuous from start to finish. High winds at the top prevented us from summiting, so we turned back 1,000 feet short of the summit at roughly 1:00 pm. An hour and half later we arrived back at the car. Also, Mt. Lincoln was clearly visible as shown in the photos. Lastly, a couple things to note: (1) borderline skiable at this point in time due to rocks and debris (2) cornice along the east ridge has begun to develop.
