 San Luis Peak - new road report 6/20/06   

Nice hike today. Nothing interesting to report, except that they are grading the (already pretty good) road in the backcountry near the Stewart creek trailhead.

So for anybody concerned about access - you can get in there now by driving virtually anything! Just be prepared to eat dust for 50 miles.
